The History of CCHCC

The Community College of Hancock County Corp., was initiated in 1998 by Hancock County’s Council for Economic Development in partnership with business, civic & education organizations.  

The mission was to facilitate and provide learning opportunities for all citizens of the communities we serve that will enhance economic development and the quality of life.  In 2001, the Community College Hancock County was one of the recipients of the Lilly Endowment and did business as the Alliance for Community Education.  ACE, Hancock County Community Foundation, all four school systems and Hancock County Public Library partnered together to provide new learning opportunities for all age levels. 

The Community College Hancock County plans to continue technical training opportunities in workforce development and medical training as is moves into the 21^st century.
